Working with AWA on FIFC was a true collaboration in the sense that the architectural form and fenestration were developed hand-in-hand with the lighting strategy to ensure that all aspects of the design were refined but impactful: from far away in the urban context and up-close upon arrival and into the interiors. The follow-through in the detailing was excellent and the ability to synthesize local know-how with global expertise was incredibly important in ensuring the project's success.
AWA was a great partner on large and complex set of healthcare projects for a single client. The projects ranged from a 15,000 square renovation space in the hospital to a 100,000 square foot CCU patient room and operating rooms addition. They worked with us every step of the way from design to bidding and through construction. Their help during bidding leveraged their connections in the lighting industry to help check costing.
Our experience working with the AWA crew on the Fairmont Hanoi was a pleasure. Justin and his team came to every workshop with fresh and innovative ideas that continuously enhanced the project. We found the AWA team to be highly collaborative and more than willing to get together for impromptu calls and virtual workshops to work through ideas and to gather consensus behind design solutions. We are so excited to see the finished product the Fairmont and expect that the evening and nighttime settings are going to be spectacular – something that stands out perfectly in the French Quarter of Hanoi.
I had the pleasure of working with AWA Lighting on the Singapore Chancery project in New York City. Lighting design is a demanding specialty, and AWA brought the full breadth of what great lighting partners provide: thoughtful and responsive design ideas that elevate the architectural experience, paired with a rigorous, technically approach to coordinating and specifying a detailed lighting package. They hit all the marks for us, and I'd be happy to work with them again in the future.
To shape the future of coastal living in the Mediterranean is more than a project, it is a responsibility and a privilege. This achievement reflects the combined creativity, rigor, and passion of diverse teams united under a single vision. What to say that my close collaboration with AWA once again proved invaluable, as their insight and commitment helped elevate every aspect of the user experience and design.
AWA's expertise and collaborative spirit were instrumental to the success of the NOOR Arrival Feature in New Cairo, Egypt. These dramatic gateway structures, spanning nearly 90 meters in length and rising 16 meters high, feature perforated metal panels with fully integrated internal lighting systems. Given the technical complexity of this installation, AWA's partnership and seamless coordination were invaluable to realizing our design vision.
AWA has been an exceptional collaborator on our projects, both domestically and internationally. Their lighting designs are thoughtful, technically rigorous, and deeply integrated with the landscape, enhancing both spatial experience and environmental performance. They are responsive, creative, and a pleasure to work with from concept through implementation.
Our collaboration with AWA Lighting Designers has consistently elevated the quality and character of each of our projects. Their ability to blend technical expertise with a refined artistic sensibility, results in lighting solutions that enrich both the architecture and the human experience while delivering meaningful value to our clients.
